Our products have an extended results page which can be used as tools for instruction. The Results can be displayed ‘By School Class’ or ‘By Reference Group’ or ‘By Individual Player’. This gives our users insight into the individual and group performance, comparison with up-to-date reference groups , tracking of improvement in performance over time and information about strengths, trouble areas and typical mistakes.

### 1. School class or group overview

The school class list gives an overview of your school class. Usually, this is your own class. School administrators can find an overview of all school classes that are part of a school. In the reference group list students are categorized based on their reference group.

In both lists a matrix with students is shown along with a column, titled Actions. This column allows the possibility to take a closer look at a students’ individual results.

#### 1.a The Score-tab

On this tab you can find an overview per mathgame of the performance of all students from a school class or grade.

**Norm Group Comparison**

The colours displayed indicate the relative position of the student in relation to other students from the same age category playing in our products. The colour coding is based on the percentage of students, who have a lower score (percentile score). The classification is displayed in the Score Legend. This colour coding should help you quickly determine how each student is doing and which students need more attention.

**Changing Comparison Group**

You can use the score tab to choose the group you would like to compare your students to. Our product compares the perfomance to other students of the same age category by default, as shown in the table above. In some cases, it can be useful to compare students to another reference group, e.g. to see if a pupil is better suited to a higher or lower level.

When you select another comparison group by clicking on an option from the “Change Comparison Group” table, you see the new data for all the students compared to the selected group. In the example below, we compare pupils (age 6-7) with other players who attend 1 group higher. At the top of the table you see a message that you have changed comparison group and an extra column appears in the table with the comparison group for every student.

#### 1.b The Last Played-tab

This tab displays how many days it’s been since the the student last played. If they have not yet played then no number will be displayed. The colour coding is used here to indicate how recently the student has played in the garden.

#### 1.c The Questions Answered-tab

This tab displays the total number of excercises that each student has completed in each domain. If the student hasn’t completed any excercises yet no number will be displayed.

### 2. Individual results page

By clicking ‘View’ in the actions column, you can find the overview page for a specific student. On this page, you will find an overview of General Player Information, Domain Scores, Nightmares and Dream excercises, and User Domain Graphs.

The general player information includes an overview of the number of coins earned, the number of times the student has logged in to Math Garden and when the student last logged in.

#### 2.a Domain Scores

Here, the scores for the different games, and the corresponding percentile score, are displayed. Also displayed is how many days it’s been since the student has logged in and the total number of excercises completed per game. These data are similar to those on the overview page By School Class and By Grade.

**Relative score**

The relative score indicate the relative position of the student in relation to other students from the same age category playing in our products. The score is based on the percentage of students, who have a lower score (percentile score).

**Game score**

This score indicates how students score compared to all other players of this game. The scores range from 1 to 1.000. The scores 300, 500 and 800 are matched with the end of the first, third and sixth grade. This way it’s simple for students and teachers to see if they have reached the level of the end of the first, third and sixth grade scores yet.

When a student reaches the score of 800, the level of the end of primary school is obtained. That means that he or she scores equal to the average of a group of students that are in the sixth grade at the end of the school year. We also calibrated the scores 300 and 500. A score of 500 in Math Garden means that the student scores equal to an average student in the third grade at the end of the school year. The score of 300 is equal to a score that you can expect at the end of the first grade. Because of these scores student have a better picture of how good they are at different games and to which games they should pay more attention to.

Pay attention! Because it´s complicated we only matched the scores 300, 500 and 800. For the other scores between 1 and 1.000 counts that they are not equal to certain grades. Fortunately we also keep our relative scores in the backend. The relative scores are percentile scores which indicate the relative position of the student in relation to other students from the same age category playing in our products. This way you can see for every grade and for all games how each student is doing and which students need more attention.

**Nightmares and Dream excercises**

Of the last 50 excercises, the nightmare excercises are the 10 least successful and the dream excercises are the 5 most successful. The least successful excercises were either answered incorrectly or too slowly. If the student clicked the question mark, the “Given Answer” shows a “q” . If the answer wasn’t given in time, “NA” will show.

#### 2.b. Users Domain Graphs

Domain Graphs show the number of excercises answered and the average score per week. Weeks are displayed on the horizontal axis, the score is displayed on the left vertical axis and frequency of play is displayed on the right vertical axis. The height of the bars indicate how many excercises have been completed that week, and the line in the graph indicates the average score that week. You can see the score by hovering over one of the circles with your mouse.
